| Growing Dream Buzz LIightyear's been replaced A new face adorns your wall Our time keeps passing I hope I don't miss it all Where Buzz once soared Scooby-Doo now grins You're growing so fast Now the fun begins The Raggedy Andy bowl You used to love Now sleeps alone Collecting dust from above Your little clothes and shoes don't fit In our attic they now sit Some toys we transport to the nearby thrift Another child's Christmas gift Through growing pains and minor scrapes I watch you in awe as your childhood escapes Your posters may change Our challenges will be ongoing But you'll always be My dream that keeps growing By Celia Szelwach |
Four in a Bed Some nights, when the baby wakes to nurse I pull her into bed between us Some nights our 4-year-old wanders in escaping bad dreams, wet sheets or simply seeking warmth I pull him into bed between us, too So, there we are...the whole family squeezed into a queen size bed My husband and I will sometimes clasp each other's hands above them in this great family bed... The place where it all began Sometimes we'll smile Sometimes we'll shake out heads Why didn't we invest in a king-size bed? By Denise Grolly-Case |
