strive to be the place where busy families can
access information quickly and easily. We
welcome feedback, ideas for improving this site
and any information that may be helpful to the
families of Manatee County.
Denise Grolly-Case, M.H.R., moved to Bradenton with her family in
January of 2003. Immediately, she began looking for ways to make it
easier for parents to find information about family resources in Manatee
County. She has made it her mission to insure quick and convenient
access to family information. As a result, "What's Happening Manatee"
was born, December of 2004.
Denise Grolly-Case, M.H.R., has been facilitating trainings and
presenting workshops for federal and state programs, academic entities
and non-profit organizations for 13 years. She has created and
conducted professional seminars, nationally and internationally, for
organizations and individuals working in the fields of childcare and
education, social work, police enforcement, foster care, domestic
violence, mental health and healthcare.
Denise earned a B.A. in Psychology and Special Education from Rutgers
University and a Masters in Human Relations from the University of
Oklahoma. Her experiences as a special education teacher, mental
health counselor, social caseworker, & parent educator have provided
Ms. Grolly-Case with a diverse background and an understanding of how
children and their families respond and cope in today’s environment.
